Sigma Alpha - Gamma

     The Gamma Chapter of Sigma Alpha holds many social events throughout the year. We want to take every opportunity to increase sisterhood between our members, so we offer many social activities to strengthen this bond. In the fall we have Fall Date Party. In the past we hosted murder mysteries and travelled to haunted cider mills. In the spring we have our formal event called Emerald Night. Once a month we have a social meeting where our social chair plans a fun activity or event for us to participate in. We also have events with our brother fraternities Alpha Gamma Rho and FarmHouse.

     With Sigma Alpha being a professional sorority, we spend time developing our professional skills. Once a month we have professional meetings where we learn about writing resumes, networking, or have guest speakers from various professional careers. Once a semester we have professional development days to further our development as professional women in the field of agriculture. Sigma Alpha members also have many opporunities to attend leadership conferences and regional and national conventions.

     This past fall we had two of our sister attend the Sigma Alpha National Convention in Texas.
